This role is based in the Strategy & Economics function of ComReg, which is led by the Director – Strategy and Economics. The Strategy and Economics function resides within the Commissioners’ Office and the principal areas of responsibility are:
In practice these five distinct roles operate in a complementary and overlapping fashion.
The role of the Analyst is to assist in the analysis of various policy and regulatory issues relevant to ComReg’s role and to support ComReg’s various business functions in developing best practice in the areas of responsibility within Strategy and Economics.
Given the nature of the role in analysing policy and regulatory issues a specific focus will also be on the management, processing and analysis of data and in supporting the wider organisation in adopting best practice in these activities through a defined Data Strategy framework. Initially reporting to the head of Data Strategy and Analytics, the Analyst will support the Strategy and Economics team in this regard.
The Analyst may also be involved in specific key projects being led by the Director for Strategy and Economics and other projects relating to ComReg’s various activities.
The key accountabilities of the Analyst are to:
