The Corporate Services Division and the Information Technology Team
The Corporate Services Division develops and implements corporate affairs and communications strategies designed to enhance our organisational performance and effectiveness. It is a key function, supporting all other Divisions across ComReg in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Public Relations, and Facilities Management.
We are looking for a highly motivated, exceptional, qualified and experienced individual to actively engage in the operation, development and support of ComReg’s IT infrastructure, information services and web applications.
Operating in a complex and dynamic environment, you will work in a multi-disciplinary organisation that encourages professionals to fully utilise and expand their technical and managerial skills.
The successful candidate will work in a team of approximately 10 IT professionals split through different operational functions.
The Role

Role description:
Day to day responsibility for ensuring IT systems are secure, consistent and reliable
Lead a skilled team of onsite resources to achieve and develop
Work with key service provider partners to support and maintain a complex IT infrastructure & service
Input into strategic programmes of Digital Transformation within the Commission
Own the IT service transition from project delivery into service operations, working with project teams and business owners to ensure transition is in place ahead of go live events
Onboarding & management of all 3rd party providers, including relationship and contract efficiencies
Promote a culture of continuous service improvement and operational excellence and be a role model to help achieve this
Liaising with Service Providers on issue identification and SLA management in the supported operational environment.
Support with all IT audit activities and remediation tasks
Provide support to internal stakeholders for application related deployments
Management of day-to-day technology related issues for all IT systems with 3rd parties
Ensure that there are clear Standard operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all areas of IT Operations
Responsible for the backup plans, Business continuity and Disaster recovery plans are in place and tested in line with Policy
Analyse, prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for site specific infrastructure.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential
Relevant Technical third level qualifications
Demonstrable experience in IT Management working with onsite teams and managing key service providers
Strong technical background, including holding industry standard qualifications
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and IT service skills
Systems integration & development experience
O365 & VMWare Administration experience
Strong investigative and project management experience
Relevant knowledge of and experience working to ITIL frameworks
Experience working with or understanding of large data handling environments including management information systems and database architecture such as Microsoft SQL Server & MS Office
Desirable
Strong Knowledge of ISO standard operating environment
Microsoft O365 Certifications
Project Management Certification e.g. Agile, PMP, Prince2
Certified in ITIL and other control frameworks such as COBIT
Knowledge in Information security and certifications such as CISM
Previous Public Sector experience
