Final phases of Vodafone 3G Switch-Off from October

Vodafone has begun to switch off its 3G network and intends to fully retire 3G services in 2024. The final phases of Vodafone’s 3G network switch off in Ireland commence in October.

Clear Mobile, An Post Mobile and Sky use the Vodafone network, so this means that 3G services for their customers will also be retired.

For those with a 4G or 5G-enabled smartphone or device, this change is not likely to affect you.

Vodafone has provided information for their customers on their website.

We have advice and information on the future of mobile, which includes more information on 3G retirement.
