Vodafone 3G Switch-Off in Cork, Galway and Dublin from June

ComReg has been informed that Vodafone has begun to switch off parts of its 3G network and intends to fully retire its 3G services in 2024.

For those with a 4G or 5G-enabled smartphone or device, this change is not likely to affect you.

Vodafone has already retired its 3G services in Limerick City, and will now proceed to switch off 3G services in Cork, Galway and Dublin from June.

Vodafone has provided information for their customers on their website.

Clear Mobile and An Post Mobile use the Vodafone network, so this means that 3G services for their customers will also be retired.
