Today we reveal the latest market research findings emerging from the data we collected on the impact of COVID-19 on consumer use and perception of telecommunications services.

The research examines consumers’ experiences of using broadband services and mobile phone services at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a particular focus on those who are using these services to work from home.  Some of the key trends emerging from the data collected in Q4 found that:

  • 3 in 5 are willing to spend more on broadband to get a better service.
  • 6 in 10 perceive their broadband to be about the same as the start of the COVID 19 pandemic, 1 in 4 believe it to be worse, with about 1 in 7 also believing it to be better.
  • 3 in 4 believe that their household usage of Broadband has increased.
