On Friday January 10th 2020 Jeremy Godfrey, ComReg Commissioner, presented a Special Award at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. The award was presented for the most innovative application of technology in radio communication.
It was awarded to Joe O’Grady, Justin Ikwu and Toby Burns of Gonzaga College Dublin for their connected bikes project. “The Ultimate Smart Bike Lock” is a smart bike lock that texts the owner if a thief cuts through it.
